Woodstock Workshop 7/16-7/20 July 20, 2018

It was three Summer days of Peace, Love, and Music and we’re celebrating it School of Rock style… with a workshop! With such a diverse list of performers, this workshop is sure to get students of all levels participating and, most importantly, having all kinds of fun! From the poignant simplicity of Joan Baez or the unmatched virtuosity of Jimi Hendrix, the song list from the Woodstock festival ensures there is something for every kind of player to join in on regardless of their age or experience. With this workshop, like so many of our others, we’re committed to helping kids experience what playing in a band is really like, so portions of the latter days are dedicated to team building, poster design, album art, and the always daunting task of coming up with a band name. Students should bring their own snacks and lunches during the week, with the exception of Thursday when we will order pizza for all the kids. The workshop will conclude on Friday afternoon with a live performance of 6-10 songs at a local venue.
