Guns N’ Roses Workshop 8/20-8/24 August 20, 2018

This year, we thought it might be fun to offer a workshop designed specifically for more experienced players, and we’re doing so with the music of rock and roll’s original bad boys Guns ‘n’ Roses. Because of the intricate parts and more complicated arrangements that G ‘n’ R favored, we’re recommending that students have about 2 years of experience on their respective instruments to maximize the experience. With this workshop, like so many of our others, we’re committed to helping kids experience what playing in a band is really like, so portions of the latter days are dedicated to things like team building, poster design, album art, and the always daunting task of coming up with a band name. Students should bring their own snacks and lunches during the week, with the exception of Thursday when we will order pizza for all the kids. The workshop will conclude on Friday afternoon with a live performance of 6-10 of Guns ‘n’ Roses’ most popular and playable songs at a local venue.
